Young Guitar Virtuoso from Indonesia
Bima Sabta Andiansyah, widely known as Abim, is a talented young Indonesian guitarist born in Situbondo on February 24, 2007. He began learning guitar while still in elementary school and quickly gained recognition for his exceptional technique, musicality, and passion for modern guitar playing.
Coming from a musical family, Abim inherited his love for guitar from his father, a respected guitarist in Situbondo. His musical development was also influenced by his cousin, Eko Praja, who introduced him to the wider Indonesian guitar community scene.
Despite his young age, Abim achieved impressive milestones early in his career, including becoming one of the youngest musicians endorsed by Bacchus Guitar Japan. His guitar videos on YouTube and social media have attracted attention from audiences both in Indonesia and internationally, earning praise for his advanced playing skills and stage confidence.
Abim’s achievements include:
- Winner of The Best Guitarist award at a high school-level band competition in Jember
- Third place in a general-level guitar solo competition organized by the Senar Enam Guitar Community
- National Favorite Winner at the Ibanez Flying Finger 2018
He also released his first solo instrumental single, A Gift, showcasing his expressive lead guitar style and technical ability.
Abim draws inspiration from legendary guitarists such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, and Jimi Hendrix. Since 2018, he has officially become one of the youngest members of the Indonesian Guitar Community (IGC) Situbondo chapter.
