NUX Next Global Guitar Contest Round 2 Is Here! Who Can Participate?

The NUX Next Global Guitar Contest has officially entered Round 2, and we've received many questions from participants about eligibility, competition rules, and prize categories.

To make everything clear, here's a complete guide explaining who can join Round 2 and what prizes are available.

Who Can Join Round 2?

To make it easier to understand, participants are divided into three categories.

1. Top 20 Finalists from Round 1

The first category includes the Top 20 finalists selected by the judges during Round 1.

The official Top 20 list will be announced on:

If you are selected as one of the Top 20 finalists, you are required to participate in Round 2 by:

• Downloading the new official backing track.

• Recording a brand-new performance video.

• Submitting your new video before the deadline.

Only a new performance created specifically for Round 2 will be accepted.

2. Participants Who Did Not Make the Top 20

Didn't make the Top 20?

Don't worry—you can still participate in Round 2.

Participants who were not selected as Top 20 finalists are still eligible to compete for the Judge Choice Award.

Simply:

• Download the Round 2 backing track.

• Record a new performance video.

• Submit your entry according to the contest guidelines.

Even if you were not selected during Round 1, you still have a chance to win a special prize.

3. New Participants

Missed Round 1?

You are still welcome to join!

New participants who did not enter Round 1 can also participate in Round 2 and compete for the Judge Choice Award.

Just download the official backing track, record your best performance, and submit your video before the deadline.

Can Every Participant Win the Grand Prize?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions.

The answer is No.

The contest has different prize categories depending on your qualification.

Grand Prize (Top 3)

Only participants who:

• Qualified for the Top 20 in Round 1, and

• Successfully participate in Round 2

will be eligible to compete for the Top 3 Grand Prizes.

These finalists will compete for:

• First Place

• Second Place

• Third Place

Judge Choice Award

Participants who:

• Did not qualify for the Top 20 in Round 1, or

• Are joining the contest for the first time in Round 2,

can still compete for the Judge Choice Award.

As part of this special category, NUX will award 5 Amp Academy Stompto outstanding performances selected by the judges.

This gives every guitarist another opportunity to win exciting prizes, even if they are not competing for the Top 3.

Don't Wait for the Top 20 Announcement

Although the Top 20 finalists will be announced on July 15, we strongly encourage everyone to start preparing now.

Here's what you should do:

• Start planning your performance.

• Record your video.

• Submit your entry as early as possible.

If you are later announced as a Top 20 finalist, your new submission will already be ready.

If you are not selected for the Top 20, your submission can still be considered for the Judge Choice Award.
